Construction workers build houses, and apartments, office buildings, and retail stores, factories, and power plants and more.

What do they actually do?

Construction workers complete a wide variety of tasks depending on their job site. They clear debris, trees, and old structures, they can set up fencing or barriers. They can also measure distances and mark lines for foundations. They overall build all of the buildings and roads we use to get around towns and go to work and even live in for shelter.

What kind of person does this?

Construction workers are full of hands on workers who like to work and do things with their hands. It's also made for people who like physical activity, and have good stamina and healthy bodies and muscles. 

What skills do you need?

They need a lot of physical abilities but also a strong mental mind. They would also need to have good coordination, as their job is dangerous if they do not. They need to know how to use different manual labor skills, they also need to have good work ethics to work with large groups at work sites. They need to understand how to read blueprints and understand basic and complex math. Their physical skills include the need to be able to lift more than 50+ pounds, have good stamina to be able to stand for extended periods of time and long hours in the day. They also need to be able to balance and have good management at tall heights.

A construction worker's common annual salary ranges from 35,000 to 110,000 depending on how high the worker's skill level is. They also gain benefits such as health insurance, and retirement contributions.
