Where does this job happen?

The job of a creative director can take place in many places, but it will mostly be in studios and offices, sometimes you will work on sets or even just remotely, wherever you need to really.

What do they actually do?

Creative Directors set up a vision, things like figuring out what a brand campaign should look like, the vibe or feel of it. Then they will lead the creative team, people like writers, photographers, animators, marketing teams, etc, they just get them on board with their big vision. They follow that up by talking with clients to present their visions and explain the work it will take. Once their vision is complete by the creative team they oversee it, approve the final product or recommend adjustments to complete the product. A big thing they are constantly doing is research on trends! They need to stay on trend to ensure their ideas aren’t “outdated”.

What skills do you need?

You will definitely need some creative skills like the ability to create graphic designs, knowledge on videography, photography, etc.
You also NEED leadership skills because without that your really not beneficial to the process because that’s the point of the job.

How much money can you make?

Well it depends what industry you specialize in but roughly making 40,000 to 70,000 at entry level, 70,000 to 100,000 at mid level, and at higher level you make 100,000 to 200,000
You can make more depending on who you work for, lower would be local fashion brands, and higher would be big corporations!
